Terms of service
The rules for accessing and using the service: account, content, writing assistant, and each party's responsibilities.
Updated on August 31, 2026
1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of the “Plume” service, published by Tharshan VISHNUKUMAR EI, which lets you compose, lay out, save and export résumés.
Creating an account constitutes unreserved acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.
The terms of sale apply in addition to these terms for paid features. Where the two conflict on a point concerning the subscription, the terms of sale prevail.
2. Access and account creation
The service is accessible from any up-to-date browser with an internet connection, the cost of which is yours. Creating an account requires a valid email address and its verification, or the use of a Google account.
The service is open to people aged fifteen or over. Between fifteen and eighteen, use requires the prior agreement of the holder of parental authority, and subscribing to a paid plan is reserved to them.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for actions taken from your account. Notify the publisher without delay in the event of unauthorised use.
An account is strictly personal. It may not be shared, assigned or resold.
3. What the service provides
- An editor for entering and organising the sections of a résumé.
- A catalogue of templates, palettes and typefaces, applicable at any time without content loss.
- Import of an existing résumé in PDF, DOCX or image format, whose structure is extracted automatically.
- A writing assistant based on a language model.
- Export of the document as a PDF.
The publisher may change these features, add to them or withdraw them, to improve the service or to account for technical or legal constraints. Removal of any substantial feature will be announced with reasonable notice.
4. Your content
The content you enter or import remains your exclusive property. The publisher acquires no economic rights over it.
You grant only the technical licence needed to perform the service: storing your content, displaying it in the editor, laying it out according to the chosen template and generating the PDF file. That licence is non-exclusive, free of charge, limited to the period your content is hosted, and ends when it is deleted.
Your résumés are neither published, nor indexed, nor made accessible to other users. They are not used to train any model.
You warrant that you hold the rights to the content you upload, in particular photographs, and that it infringes no third-party right.
5. Writing assistant
The assistant produces text suggestions from your content, at your explicit request. It relies on a third-party language model.
Suggestions may contain inaccuracies, approximations or wording ill-suited to your situation. You must review and validate them before use. The publisher warrants neither the accuracy, nor the relevance, nor the originality of the text proposed, and cannot be held liable for the consequences of a résumé sent out without review.
The service is a formatting and writing-support tool. It is neither career guidance nor recruitment support, and carries no promise of an interview or a job.
6. Prohibited uses
You may not:
- knowingly enter false information intended to mislead an employer;
- upload unlawful, defamatory or hateful content, or content infringing a third party's privacy;
- use the service to impersonate another person;
- access the service by automated means, extract it, copy it or decompile it, outside the cases permitted by law;
- circumvent the service's technical limits or disrupt its operation;
- resell access to the service or exploit its templates commercially without written permission.
7. The publisher's intellectual property
The service's code, interface, visual identity, text and layout templates are protected and remain the publisher's property. Using the service grants you no right over these elements beyond using them as intended.
The PDF you generate is yours and you may exploit it freely, including for professional purposes, with no attribution and no royalty.
8. Availability
The publisher takes reasonable steps to keep the service available, without being bound by an obligation of result. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or because of an incident affecting a technical provider.
It is for you to keep a copy of your important documents, in particular by exporting your résumés as PDFs regularly.
9. Liability
The publisher is liable for direct damage resulting from a breach attributable to it. It is not liable for indirect damage, in particular loss of a professional opportunity, reputational harm or loss of earnings.
Nothing in these terms limits the publisher's liability in cases of wilful misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury, nor deprives a consumer of the statutory guarantees to which they are entitled.
10. Suspension and termination
You may delete any of your résumés at any time from your dashboard. Deleting the account itself is done on request to the publisher's contact address; it permanently erases every résumé it contains.
The publisher may suspend or close an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, after informing you and, where the nature of the breach allows, giving you the opportunity to remedy it. Where an account is closed for breach, the unused portion of the subscription is refunded.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended. The update date appears at the top of the page. Any substantial change will be notified to you at least thirty days before it takes effect; continuing to use the service beyond that period constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a disagreement, an amicable solution will be sought first, in writing to the publisher's contact address.
Failing agreement, and if you are a consumer, you may use free of charge the consumer mediator named in the terms of sale. You retain in any event the right to bring the matter before the competent court.
